26.11.2021, Kleve: Museum Kurhaus and HSRW are inviting to the opening ceremony "The Naked Body"

"The Naked Body - a Matter of Perspective" is the title of an exhibition at Museum Kurhaus Kleve, which can be visited until mid-January 2022. Students of the social science bachelor’s programme “Gender and Diversity” have realized the exhibition as young curators over the past year, together with Prof. Dr. Eva Maria Hinterhuber on the part of the HSRW. The project, which is funded by the state of NRW, deals with nudity and different perspectives on it. How the naked body is evaluated – and whether a body is perceived to be naked – depends significantly on the historical, social, religious, and cultural – and political – context.

At the opening ceremony on 26 November 2021 from 7:30 p.m. onwards guests can expect not only speeches by the Ministry of Culture and Sciences NRW and the Friends of the Museum, but also a live performance by a body painter and musical accompaniment by a DJane. During the opening ceremony, the Presidium will also award this year's teaching prize to Prof. Dr. Hinterhuber for the extraordinary teaching format, which was realized in cooperation with the Kurhaus Kleve.
