How to register
Registration is only possible online through Moodle. There you will also find general information about our language courses and the registration process.

Fees
Language courses are open to all enrolled HSRW students, including visiting exchange students, at no extra charge.

Placement tests
German
If you have no previous experience in German, you do not need to do a placement test.
If you have any previous experience in German, you must do a placement test in our Language Lab before you can register. This is mandatory. We currently offer tests for the levels A1, A2 and B1.
Placement tests are available during our regular opening hours in our Language Labs (18 01 014 in Kleve, 04 01 315 in Kamp-Lintfort). Opening hours can be found in Moodle (Kleve or Kamp-Lintfort).
For technical reasons, non-students are unable to do a placement test at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
English and other languages
Placement tests in English and other languages are not mandatory. Instead, we currently rely on a system of self-assessment. For more information or assistance identifying the right course, please see the quick links on the this page or contact us at languages@hochschule-rhein-waal.de.
