We wrote this document to provide you with a brief, but informative overview of the many advising services available at HSRW so that you can quickly and reliably find answers or contact person(s) for your specific questions or problems.

Welcome Centre

Welcome to Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences!

The Welcome Centre is a central contact point for all students provided to you by student tutors.  Just come by during our consultation hours and get to know us.

Career Service

Internship, student job or first steps in a new career – Rhine-Waal’s Career Service is here to help with a broad range of useful services.

Link professors

Link professors or mentoring professors offer direct points of contact for students to turn to within their respective faculties. Link professors have special training as counsellors and have an open-door policy when it comes to all student issues, especially if they are faculty-related.

Student Advisory Service

We advise and inform prospective students, current students, parents and teachers on all aspects of studying and university life.

  • Structure, content, curriculum, majors and requirements regarding our programmes
  • Application and admission
  • Social issues such as funding and financial problems, accomodation etc.
  • Dates and deadlines regarding application, informational events, introductory events and bridging courses
  • The decision-making process concerning the choice of study

Social and Academic Advisory / Study Guides

Unexpected academic and social problems are roadblocks on the path to students’ academic success. To help students manage these problems and get back on the right track, the Centre for Academic Development and Quality (ZfQ) at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences provides one-on-one counselling services.
