Das neue Dekanat der Fakultät Technologie und Bionik
In zwei Sitzungen im Frühjahr wählte der Fakultätsrat einen neuen Studiendekan und eine neue Prodekanin: Prof. Dr. Alexander Struck (l.), Professor für theoretische Physik und bislang Prodekan, wurde zum neuen Studiendekan gewählt. Mit Doris Gerland (m.), Mitarbeiterin für Internationales und Marketing, wurde erstmals eine wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin zur Prodekanin gewählt. Weiterhin im Amt als Dekan ist Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dirk Nissing (r.), Professor für Regelungstechnik.

The fair takes place on Friday, May 12th, from 3 to 8 pm in building 1.
Eine Woche lang begrüßen wir Dich von 9 bis 15 Uhr in unseren Räumlichkeiten auf dem Campus der Hochschule Rhein-Waal. Die Workshops drehen sich um Themen rund um MINT, Du lernst ein bisschen Programmieren, bekommst Einblicke in die Bionik und kannst im Labor arbeiten.

Eine Delegation des Projekts iNavigate besuchte kürzlich den türkischen NeurotechEU-Partner und Leiter des Projekts, die Bogazici Universität in Istanbul.
Das Projekt iNavigate ist ein Zusammenschluss verschiedener Hochschulen, neben der HSRW (vertreten durch Prof. Dr. William Megill) sind insgesamt 23 Hochschulen, Universitäten, Forschungseinrichtungen sowie Industriepartner beteiligt, die zentrale Koordination liegt bei der Bogazici University. In Istanbul waren neben der HSRW die Aberystwysth Uiversity aus dem vereinigten Königreich, die rumänische University of Craiova und die niederländische Radboud University vertreten.

Großer Erfolg für den Astro-Club der Hochschule Rhein-Waal: Das Studierendenteam aus Kleve ist für seine Projektidee zum Astro-Lehrpfad „Astro Day’n Night Path“ mit 10.000 Euro im Hochschulwettbewerb 2023 ausgezeichnet worden. Der Wettbewerb wird jährlich von Wissenschaft im Dialog (WiD) in Kooperation mit dem Bundesverband Hochschulkommunikation und der Hochschulrektorenkonferenz ausgerufen und vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung im Rahmen des Wissenschaftsjahres gefördert.
