Prof. Dr. Marion Halfmann
From the idea to market success
Successful commercialization of products and services - that is the profession of Marion Halfmann. Her special focus lies on innovative methods in the areas of dialogue marketing communications and online marketing as well as in the fields of market and consumer behavior research. As a result of her work she published regularly in magazines and newspapers. Prof. Dr. Marion Halfmann is also a frequent guest speaker at conferences / seminars and has lectured at Deutsches Institut für Marketing and Deutsche Dialogmarketing Akademie (DDA).
Born in Altena, the native Sauerländerin studied business administration and business education at the University of Cologne. In 1992 she earned a diploma in business administration as well as a degree in teaching economics at final secondary and vocational schools. Parallel to working as a research assistant, Dr. Marion Halfmann finished her doctoral thesis "Flow of goods in company's production system - quantitative planning considering ecology-related aspects " in 1996 at University of Cologne. After a study visit at University of California, Berkeley, Prof. Dr. Marion Halfmann worked as a consultant at Simon Kucher & Partners and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Prof. Dr. Marion Halfmann held a professorship at Cologne University of Applied Sciences from April 2004 to September 2012. Since September 1st 2012 she has taught and researched at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
Prof. Dr. Marion Halfmann is married and has two children.
