Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 29 January 2016: 46 students studying in their third semester in the Sustainable Tourism B.A. study course of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences recently visited Airport Weeze. Holger Terhorst, marketing director of Airport Weeze, led students behind the curtain and showed them the ins-and-outs of daily operations at the important regional hub. Students begain their excursion with an informational overview of airport operations, followed by a walk-through through the terminal areas. The highlight of the guided tour was the trip into the secured areas of the airport, which provided an insightful look into the many activities necessary to keep an airport running efficiently.

This now traditional excursion was originally developed as a way to strengthen cooperative ties between Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and Airport Weeze as an important regional partners. Another excursion to the airport is already planned for the summer semester.
