Federal Association financially supports student
Ulia Reda, mother of a 4-year-old daughter and a fourth semester student convinces through excellent achievements and presence
The Federal Association Credit Management registered association (BvCM) located in Kleve will financially support a student of the Faculty Society and Economics for one year. The university chose Ulia Reda. "We made our decision in favour of Mrs Reda because she convinces through excellent achievements and does exemplarily manage the difficult split between family and studies," explains Prof. Dr. Hasan Alkas, Dean of the Faculty of Society and Economics. The 25-year-old is not just a fourth semester student of "International Business and Social Sciences" but also mother of a 4-year-old daughter.
Kleve/Emmerich/Kamp-Lintfort, July 24, 2012: "Of course, I am very happy about this distinction," declares the native-born Ukrainian. She had already started studying Economic Sciences in her home country. That is when she met her future husband and subsequently followed him to Germany. "And then came Marie," Ulia Reda adds. By now, her four-year-old daughter goes to kindergarten and is taken care of by her mother-in-law when the student is attending lectures and seminars. "That is certainly not an easy situation. All the more impressive is the fact that she has never been absent and has always been ready when we need support for projects," Alkas notes.
The federal association left the decision to the university on who comes into consideration for the financial grant to the amount of monthly €250. "With this support we want to contribute to make Kleve attractive to students," remarks Jan Schneider-Maessen, Managing Director of the Federal Association of Credit Management. For the Dean of the Faculty of Society and Economics, this donation is a good example of how students can be supported in a wise way: "That will improve learning conditions!" Jan Schneider-Maessen has already been signalling the wish to further strengthen the co-operation with the university: "We continue moving closer together. It may well be possible that we will find further projects which will make sense to co-operate. We will stay in contact."
The BvCM is the Federal Association of Credit Managers in Germany. It represents the interests of its members and is always happy to give competent advice on politics, society and economics in the field of credit management.
