Field Trip to Bonn: Development Organisations

As part of the course "International Development Organisations", Master students in "Sustainable Development Management" and Professor Alexander Brand went on a field trip to Bonn on 16 June. They visited the German Development Institute, the Bonn International Center for Conversion, and the UNFCCC Secretariat on the United Nations Campus. Talks and presentations on multilateral development cooperation, renewables and sustainability in the MENA region as well as the recent climate negotiations in Paris gave the students plenty of opportunities to discuss matters of sustainable development with leading experts and actors. In addition, the chance to look behind the scenes of both research institutes and international institutions made this field trip a special and memorable event.
