The Research Centre of the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences offers information and support on all aspects of research funding as well as knowledge and technology transfer:
We encourage researchers to contact us for advice and assistance pertaining to research funding, transfer and innovation management, funding opportunities, third-party fundraising and support on research grant proposals.
As an innovative and entrepreneurial university, a close cooperation and interaction with industry and business is essential to Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. The Research Centre is the central point of contact for regional and supra-regional companies.
The Research Centre also raises funds and coordinates projects. For example, the Research Centre is currently participating in the INTERREG IV A-Project "Genießen im Grünen - Groen genieten" which focuses on the promotion of regional food in the German-Dutch border region and the development of a cross-border, regional brand. The Research Centre is also cooperating with Fluxana GmbH & Co. KG in the ZIM-KOOP-Project "Development of new analytical methods for x-ray fluorescence analysis and related technologies" funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Furthermore, the Research Centre plans to further extend its application-oriented research, particularly in the natural sciences and engineering. In 2012, a zdi-Centre for the district of Kleve will be established at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. The joint initiative “Zukunft durch Innovation.NRW” (zdi) of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia aims to create interest of children in engineering, natural sciences as well as technical professions.
